Media Working Group assists organizations in designing start-up curricula and re-designing existing curricula. Working in a participatory fashion with the organization's training staff and other key personnel, we help organizations create training and educational programs that feature educational outcomes consistent with the mission and long-range plans of the organizations. Our curriculum work is grounded in a constructivist approach to education and knowledge. We recognize the importance of participatory and inquiry-based learning and strive to integrate theory and practice at every turn.

Particular attention is given to integrating the diverging languages of literacy [media, computer, network, visual, technology, and information 'literacies'] into meaningful wholes that are useful to organizations working increasingly in cross-platform environments.

We can:

Develop curricula

Assist in expanding curricula to include critical media literacy, advanced production techniques, Internet skills and connectivity, digital media and interactive media training

Work with staff to develop education strategies for staff and public

Work with staff to create partnerships and curricula with public and private educational institutions

Conduct staff training

Conduct public education activities such as workshops, institutes, seminars, residencies, or retreats
