
Sergei Yakolevich Linkov is an award-winning director who was director of the Studio Mosfilm from 1969-2000; he taught at the All-Russian State Institute of Cinematography in Moscow from 1986-2000. He participated as faculty in the Berlin and Amsterdam International Workshops, taught in the Department of Film Directing, Feature and Documentary Workshops, and is currently on the faculty of the All-Russion State Institute of Cinematography in Moscow.

Sergei's eleven dramatic and documentary features include Marshall of the Revolution, 1978, Odessa Film Studio (the ALL Union Festival Award), Last Saturday, 1993, Ekran (TV Moscow), Kona-Prim (Golden Apple Award Nomination), In the Mist, 1992; The First Pages (which he co-wrote) in 1970, Mosfilm Studio; Shooting in the Square, 1996, NTV (Moscow), Every Thursday, 2004; Over the Vetluga River; USA-Russia, Under Fire,2004, winner at the Ohio Independent Film Festival and the Ojai International Film Festival's Award for Arts and Culture.
Sergei's current documentary My Name is Saad is a portrait of Saad Ghosn, Lebanon born, Cincinnati artist, arts benefactor, and peace activist whose life changes after 911.
