Cirriculum Vitae

Born and half-bred in Derry City in the North-West of Ireland. I have been involved in creative writing, broadcasting and drama for the last 15 years and during this time have written 13 plays, short stories, poetry and articles for the stage, television, radio and magazines.

I am a member of the Irish Writers Union and Irish Playwrights Society. As Artistic Director of the Playstation Theatre Company we are based in St. Columb's Theatre in Derry. The ornate theatre has a 900 seat auditorium, a smaller 130 seat theatre which doubles as a cinema, a watering hole and rehearsal space. We offer a season of plays by Irish writers and those outside of Ireland.

I am also Project Manager of the Artemis Project based at the Verbal Arts Centre in Derry which offers an interactive multi-arts programmes for young people aged 6-26 years.

As an experienced arts facilitator I offer a wide range of workshops and master classes in drama and creative writing. I have offered these services throughout Ireland and Europe and more recently have been invited to the USA to do the same. The workshops are based upon the contention that the participants should be given every level of support and professional advice to "tell their story"; in whatever format they feel comfortable with.
